Hello! I’m glad you stopped by. I hope you will join me in my eternal quest for sunshine and light. Here, you will find posts of my latest photography ventures, peek into the lives of my private sunshine subjects, and learn about my quest for spreading kindness Because of Heller. I would love it if you left a comment to let me know you were here, and to share your sunshine too!

We’ve Been Capturing Sunshine!

Thumbs up means go faster!  Someone certainly had the ride of his life!

Happy Independence Day!

Summer’s Comin’!

The pool splashing is unrelenting.

“Nicholas!” I reprimand. “This law shall stand as harshly as the seatbelt law. These are the summer pool rules. Rule Number One is, no splashing extreme water quantities out of the pool. Rule Number Two is, no jumping on people who are in the pool. Rule Number Three is, no splashing–whatsoever–toward electronic equipment–like Mommy’s camera. Rule Number Four is, the first time I tell you to get out of the pool, you respond immediately! Do you understand the summer pool rules?”

“Yes!” he tells me.

“What are the summer pool rules?” I ask.

He repeats them back perfectly.

SPLASHING CONTINUES.

“Nicholas!” I raise my voice. “What are you doing? Rule Number ONE!?!”

Nicholas does not miss a single beat when he replies, “It’s not summer yet.”

I wonder if he’ll survive it?!

The Host

25 MORE DAYS!!

I have never been a sci-fi fan. I seldom allow a book a second reading (there are too many books out there waiting to be devoured). The HOST, by Stephanie Meyer, however, has made it into my TOP TEN favorites somehow. Those who know me well may find this odd. It may be the relationship between the protagonist and her “brother” that reminds me of my daughter, Jenny, and her younger brother, Heller (who were exactly the same age apart) that draws me in.

I just finished the book for the second time and cannot wait for the movie. I guess this is my attempt to show my support.:)

Little Miss Baby “Sitter”

“The Sitter” by Shel Silverstein

Mrs. McTwitter the baby-sitter,
I think she’s a little bit crazy.
She thinks a baby-sitter’s supposed
To sit upon the baby.
